Comments

"Dear Cerezo supporters,
Sadly, the time has come for me to say goodbye.
When I arrived at Cerezo Osaka, I made a promise to myself that when the day came for me to leave this club, I would leave behind a team stronger than the one I inherited, with a solid foundation for the next generation to build upon.
With humility, I can say that this team is undoubtedly stronger than it was when I first arrived, and that its future is very bright.
Over the past two years, we have established a brave and attacking style of football, while many of our young talents have developed into key players for the first team. Alongside that progress, we achieved results step by step, and I am incredibly proud that together we were able to deliver one of the most memorable seasons in the club's history.
Personally, I felt that this story was only just beginning.
Sadly, however, my journey with the club comes to an end here. I sincerely hope that the next manager will build on the foundations we have laid over the past two years and take this club to even greater heights.
Every single day, I gave everything I had to build a team that you could be proud to support.
But our progress has only been possible because of the commitment of the players, the support of the club, and above all, the unwavering belief and passion of you, our supporters.
The trust and encouragement you gave the players every step of the way gave them courage and confidence, and became a driving force behind their growth.
The bond I have built with the players and our supporters is something I will always treasure.
And it is that bond that I will miss more than anything.
This club, and its supporters, possess incredible strength. There will be difficult moments ahead, but please continue to believe in one another, support one another, and keep building the future of this wonderful club together.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for everything.
Until we meet again someday.
Arthur Papas"
